Job Overview

WORK IN PARADISE.... at the beautiful South Seas on the tip of Captiva Island on Florida's Gulf Coast just across the bridge from Ft. Myers. Escape to a tranquil tropical island destination, marked by 2.5 miles of beaches, surrounded by glistening gulf waters and endless opportunities for fun and adventure.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a guest experience that exemplifies South Seas standards of excellence.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Be on time for events and be prepared to work until the end of the event.
  • Comply with the Company’s grooming standards, ensuring your uniform is clean and pressed, and your name tag is in place.
  • Be up to date on all required certifications including Alcohol Awareness and Serve Safe.
  • Complete prep assignments prior to the event as directed by the Director of Catering or Banquet Captain.
  • Maintain composure throughout the event, and work through stressful situations.
  • Must be familiar with the organization of the hotel, and where to direct guests.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Banquet Captain.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience as a Server in a hotel/restaurant environment is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate to guests in English, bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift to forty pounds.
  • Work in both an indoor/outdoor environment, with the potential for hot temperatures.
  • Ability to work at a computer in an office setting and respond to client inquiries promptly.
  • Must be able to oversee stress related conversations with clients, vendors, and other departments.
Compensation

$12.00 per hour plus service charges.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
