JEAN - GEORGES RESTAURANT IS LOOKING FOR RESERVATIONISTS!

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY, INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, AND WEEKENDS. The Reservationist is responsible for coordinating and managing all reservations. As part of the Reservations Department, you will secure reservations for the restaurant, manage day‑to‑day operations, accommodate client requests in a timely manner, oversee bookings, handle large parties, and support various administrative and clerical functions.

Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and accurately handle reservations, cancellations, and inquiries from guests.
  • Maximize bookings by delivering warm, friendly, and efficient service.
  • Speak clearly and persuasively, responding well to both positive and negative situations.
  • Develop a working knowledge of the menus.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs and deliver exceptional service consistently.
  • Operate ethically to protect the company’s image.
  • Promote teamwork and maintain a harmonious working climate.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, patience, and interest in people.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal and medical information shared by guests.
  • Assist in training new department team members.
  • Organize all reservations and guests using the most effective procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain guest relationships to promote repeat business.
  • Make quick, efficient decisions based on guest and restaurant needs.
  • Provide the highest quality service at all times.
  • Create and maintain a database with local concierges.
  • Utilize Resy to its full capacity.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role.
  • Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition.
  • Communicates professionally with guests and staff.
  • Basic math skills and capability to operate department‑specific software and applications.
  • Available to work late nights, holidays, and long shifts if necessary.
  • Strong communication and telephone skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage.
  • Knowledge of Resy.
Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $22.00 per hour.
