Room Attendant; Temporary​/Hotel Housekeeping​/Cleaning

Job Overview

• Clean and service assigned rooms or areas according to established standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, and removing trash.
• Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, and dishware.
• Notify the supervisor when service is completed so rooms may be sold or occupied.
• Report any room that cannot be serviced to the supervisor according to established procedures.
• When assigned to laundry, monitor supplies and equipment, operate washers and dryers, receive soiled linens, inspect for damage or stains, fold and store clean linens, and report damages.
• Minimize waste of supplies and amenities in all housekeeping areas.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects as required.
• Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Handle lost and found items according to established procedures.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other shifts and department management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Background in the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities preferred.
• Must frequently stand, bend, climb, kneel, and move throughout the facility.
• Ability to carry, lift, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals is required.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Hourly Compensation Range: $31.77 - $42.37
