Reservations Agent

The Bowery Hotel, a luxury boutique hotel in lower Manhattan, is seeking a full time reservations agent for $25.59 per hour
.

You will be responsible for taking reservations for room bookings via phone and email; communicating with in-house guests, potential guests, and travel agents; taking room service orders; and assisting guests in general as a member of our Guest Services team.

Customer service, personal assisting, travel industry, administration or production experience is a must. Ability to work in a high volume environment with a calm and cool demeanor is essential. This is a position where details matter and communication is key.

• Existing Hotel and OPERA property management system experience is very strong plus.
• Answering all incoming calls in a promptly, professional and efficient manner.
• Attention to detail when entering reservations, noting requests, managing VIP's is crucial.
• Entering group rooming lists in accordance with Group Blocks.
• Research Daily Arrivals
• Communicate with the Front Office, Back of House and Sales Team to ensure streamlined service for all guests.
• Processing in-room dining phone orders from in-house guests.
• PBX duties
• Written communication with guests and potential guests via email
• Other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• College course work in Hotel/Hospitality field helpful.
