Hourly Rate: $26.00

Responsibilities:

• Adhering to all property standards, policies and procedures
• Performing all guest contact in a cordial, efficient and professional manner at all times maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Maintaining a cooperative team-like attitude in working with Supervisors and fellow employees to help achieve a wonderful experience for our guests.
• Attending BEO meetings, as necessary, and discussing a plan of action with the Banquet Manager for all events.
• Attending daily meetings with Banquet Manager to receive event assignments and discuss logistics.
• Ensuring all functions are posted correctly outside the Banquet meeting room.
• Maintaining constant contact with the Banquet Chef to ensure effective communication between food production and food service. Giving exact count of how many guests are present and advising of any service timing changes or alterations.
• Inspecting the Banquet room for assigned functions, making sure that all details reflect the BEO.
• Checking temperature, lighting and general cleanliness of event room.
• Meeting with Servers, Bartender and event staff to provide instructions and post daily side work.
• Inspecting table place-setting, table linen, chinaware and silverware for correct placement and conditions to ensure that all is clean, undamaged and attractive.
• Responsible for proper setting of buffet tables and other food service tables.
• Supervising the handling, storage and security of all Banquet service equipment.
• Seeing that all scheduled events take place on time and according to BEO.
• Making contact with the host in charge of event to introduce oneself and coordinate all final details of the event.
• Informing Banquet Manager of any repairs needed related to service equipment.
• Participating in Banquet staff training sessions with Manager.
• Promptly and accurately performing any special assignments made by Banquet Manager.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
• Previous Banquet Captain experience required
• Must be able to read and communicate in English to ensure guest satisfaction
• Must have AM & PM work availability
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Previous guest service experience required.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
• Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
