Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet, meeting, and special event functions.
  • Review and finalize banquet event orders (BEOs), room setups, food and beverage requirements, and event timelines.
  • Conduct pre-event inspections and post-event walkthroughs to ensure service excellence and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure all event spaces are properly prepared, maintained, and presented at the highest level.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for clients during events, ensuring all expectations are met or exceeded.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
  • Deliver exceptional guest service while maintaining luxury hospitality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, meeting planners, and event organizers.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and operational challenges.
  • Ensure consistent execution of service standards across all banquet functions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop banquet supervisors, captains, servers, bartenders, and support staff.
  • Conduct ongoing training to reinforce service standards, operational procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Create staff schedules based on business levels and labor guidelines.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.
  • Review and approve departmental payroll and staffing schedules.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and cost controls.
  • Monitor food, beverage, equipment, linen, and supply usage to support operational efficiency.
  • Support purchasing and inventory processes to ensure adequate supplies for all events.
  • Assist with accurate event billing and reconciliation procedures.
Operational Excellence
  • Collaborate with Catering, Culinary, Sales, Facilities, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Attend operational meetings, event reviews, and planning sessions as required.
  • Oversee third-party vendors, including audiovisual providers, staffing agencies, and event partners.
  • Maintain banquet equipment, furniture, fixtures, and event spaces in excellent condition.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health regulations, food safety standards, and workplace safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required;
    Bachelor s Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of banquet management experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food and beverage service, event planning, and guest service standards.
  • Experience managing large teams in a fast-paced banquet or events environment.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Certifications
  • TIPS Certification preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred or ability to obtain.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform physical event setup and inspection duties as needed.
