Gerber Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing the day‑to‑day operation of a high-volume hospitality venue. The AGM will help lead the team, maintain service and operational standards, manage costs, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The compensation for this role is $75,000-$85,000 annually.
Key Responsibilities- Support the GM in all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, service, cleanliness, maintenance, atmosphere, and overall venue readiness.
- Lead and develop front‑of‑house employees, including training, scheduling, performance management, and coaching.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor and ensure consistent execution of Gerber Group service and hospitality standards.
- Monitor sales, labor, inventory, comps, voids, and other operating costs while identifying opportunities to improve performance.
- Build relationships with guests, resolve issues professionally, and create a welcoming environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, liquor, and employment regulations.
- Maintain accurate daily reporting and management logs.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees.
- Communicate operational issues promptly and work closely with the GM and senior management.
- Stay current on hospitality trends and continually look for ways to improve the operation and guest experience.
A hands‑on, organized hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and team leader with excellent judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to hospitality.
Requirements- Minimum 3 years of hospitality management or supervisory experience, preferable in a high-volume, full-service bar or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
- Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler, and other required state or local certifications.
- Ability to remain on the floor for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
