The Utility plays a key role in delivering Sonesta's mission of providing exceptional service to both guests and colleagues. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality ,maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and dishwashing areas. Operate dishwashing equipment, clean and organize kitchenware and equipment, handle trash removal, and assist with basic food prep and special cleaning projects as needed.

• Ability to communicate in basic English
• Ability to count and follow directions
• Physically able to lift, bend, stand, and perform manual tasks in hot, humid environments

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in dishwashing or janitorial roles
• Familiarity with sanitation procedures and chemical handling
• Sanitation certification and/or knowledge of a second language

• Flexibility to work variable days, including weekends and holidays, is required.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts (days, nights, overnights) is essential.

• Operate dishwashing machines to clean dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
• Pre-wash items, load/unload machines, and inspect cleanliness of wares
• Hand-wash kitchen equipment and sanitize surfaces
• Restock cleaned wares and keep workstations organized
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, bar, bathrooms, and service areas
• Remove and properly dispose of trash and recyclables
• Clean and maintain garbage compactor and trash areas
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment per safety guidelines (OSHA)
• Support basic food prep and banquet setup as needed
• Follow all sanitation, health, and safety regulations
• Report on maintenance or safety issues promptly
• All utilities are required to properly store Ecolab solutions and cleaning supplies in their designated storage areas upon delivery
