Perfectly located in Midtown Manhattan, The Wolseley Hotel New York will usher in a new chapter of luxury hospitality to one of the world’s most dynamic cities, effortlessly blending British refinement with a rich artistic legacy, architectural pedigree and the city’s immutable cultural élan. Opening in early 2027, the hotel will blend classic design elements with modern sophistication across 76 refined guest rooms and suites, alongside elegant dining and social spaces – including The Wolseley New York restaurant and a cellar‑level speakeasy bar – and a wellness and wellbeing centre.
The Director of Restaurants and Bars is a dynamic leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and guest experience across a complex food and beverage operation, ensuring every venue reflects the highest standards of service, quality, and hospitality.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, partners, and key external stakeholders.
- Select, develop, and lead departmental heads, ensuring full alignment with Wolseley Group standards, policies, and procedures
- Monitor performance and provide structured coaching and career development plans to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Promote clear communication and knowledge‑sharing across all departments
- Attend Director‑level meetings contributing to Group strategy and governance
- In alignment with TWHG London, maintain agreed reporting structures, governance, menu change programs and brand accountability
- Inspires and develops high-performing teams.
- Makes confident decisions under pressure.
- Identifies market trends and new business opportunities.
- Builds trust across departments.
- Collaborates with chefs, hotel leadership, marketing, and events teams.
