Job Overview
Our client, a hedge fund located in Midtown Manhattan, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) who will bridge the gap between HR and business operations, ensuring that human resources strategies align with the overall goals of the organization. This position requires a blend of strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of HR practices to effectively support the business and its employees.
The HRBP will manage the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and exit management.

SalaryBase Pay: $175k - $200k per year (DOE) plus bonus and great benefits
HoursSchedule: 8:30am-5:30pm and 1 day a week WFH
Responsibilities- Strategic Partnership:
Collaborate and regularly meet with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that support business goals and enhance organizational performance. Create strategic ways to improve the relationship between the company’s leadership and its employees. - Employee Relations:
Handle confidential HR‑related matters, addressing employee concerns, coaching managers, mediating disputes, and ensuring fair application of policies. Conduct disciplinary meetings and terminations. - Talent Management:
Partner with the Business Development team on headcount planning and onboarding, to ensure alignment with business needs. Participate in job interviewing processes to ensure new hires align with business goals. Ensure that succession planning, mentor programs and internships are aligned with business goals. - Performance Management:
Manage performance review processes, promotion processes and provide guidance on employee development initiatives to foster a high‑performing workforce. Support talent and performance management and retention efforts by working with HR COE teams to drive business outcomes and implement related initiatives. - Organizational Development:
Implement programs that promote diversity and enhance employee engagement and retention. Draft new HR policies in accordance with organizational goals, industry trends and labor laws or regulations. - Employee Engagement:
Engage employees through quarterly HR communications, focus group discussions and networking sessions. Utilize data analytics and metrics to develop solutions that enhance people programs and optimize productivity. - Compliance and Best Practices:
Stay updated on labor laws and HR trends to ensure compliance and develop best industry practices within the organization. Identify gaps in existing processes and drive necessary changes to establish best HR practices.
- 10+ years of HR experience, with previous financial services experience preferred.
- University degree in Human Resources or another related field.
- Deep competence in core HR areas, including regional employment laws and HR related regulatory and compliance procedures.
- Deep desire to connect with employees and build relationships, trusted advocate.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

- Must have experience managing and mentoring a team or direct reports.
