Job Details:
The Senior Payroll Manager will oversee and supervise the organization’s payroll department and their overall functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations. In addition, you will be engaged in modernizing the payroll process by using technology to create efficiencies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Interview, hire, and training of new staff in the department.
  • Oversee the daily workflow and timely processing of payroll for 310 managed buildings with combined staffs of 4,000 employees.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Implement, maintain, and review ADP payroll processing system to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates by staff including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of HR Requirements for Non-Union Buildings
  • Knowledge of Local NYC Unions 32BJ, 941 and others NYC Unions.
  • Maintaining a database for salaries & Bonuses for employees

Required Skills:

  • ADP WFN AND WFM (Workforce management)
  • High volume processing 4k employees
  • Union processing 32BJ
  • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
  • Prevailing Wages

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Three to five years of related experience required.
