As part of the McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality (MML) family, Nine Orchard reflects a people-first culture grounded in excellence, creativity, and genuine care for both guests and team members.

About MML Hospitality

At McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality (MML), our mission is to create some of the world’s most memorable hospitality experiences—where food, design, service, and storytelling come together seamlessly. Led by Larry McGuire, Tom Moorman, and Liz Lambert, MML is known for its refined, character-driven approach to hospitality.

As we continue to grow, we’re entering an exciting new chapter—welcoming James Beard Award–winning chef April Bloomfield to our culinary leadership team and expanding our portfolio of iconic hotels, restaurants, and lifestyle concepts nationwide.

What You’ll Do

The Human Resources Manager at Nine Orchard serves as the primary HR leader for the hotel, acting as a trusted partner to hotel leadership and employees alike. This role oversees all on-property HR functions, including union labor relations, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, HRIS administration, and employee engagement.

  • Lead engaging and informative new hire orientations (Spanish-language support when needed)
  • Act as a consistent, accessible HR presence on property, fostering trust and approachability

Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Ensure compliance with federal, New York State, and New York City labor laws
  • Conduct regular audits (I-9s, certifications, postings, safety training, union documentation)
  • Maintain, communicate, and enforce HR policies and procedures

HRIS & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
  • Generate and analyze reports related to staffing, turnover, retention, and compliance
  • Ensure data integrity across HR, payroll, and benefits platforms

  • Partner with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing and communication

Culture, Engagement & Recognition

  • Lead employee recognition initiatives, including anniversaries, milestones, and celebrations
  • Support engagement efforts that strengthen morale, retention, and workplace culture

Special Projects

  • Participate in cross-functional HR initiatives aligned with hotel and corporate priorities
  • Support continuous improvement of HR systems, communication, and employee experience
