Location: New York
Our client is seeking an innovative and inspiring Director of Total Rewards to lead and develop all aspects of Compensation, Benefits & Leaves, HRIS, and related employees. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, this leader will develop and implement organizational strategy aligned with growth, talent and culture goals, ensuring high service levels through an innovative and unique employee experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dynamic leadership, coaching and mentoring to HR staff to achieve the highest standards of operational support as well as retaining and building upon ONE’s reputation as an employer of choice.
- Ensure regular staff training, evaluation and service assessment to ensure supportive service to all employees and departments; established metrics and feedback systems to ensure accountability.
- Work closely and collaboratively with operating and support staff, especially Payroll, Legal and Finance.
- Manage assigned budgets and conducts appropriate forecasting and planning to meet financial objectives; effectively manages resources to meet objectives.
- Oversee compliance in all assigned areas, demonstrating expertise in applicable labor, wage and hour and employment laws and applicable benefits and tax regulations.
- 10+ years of HR management/operations experience with a large, operationally diverse organization, preferably in a service or hospitality industry.
- 2+ years’ experience in each of the following:
Labor management/scheduling, HRIS design/implementation/user experience. - 5+ years’ experience in developing/administering total rewards strategies.
- A bachelor’s degree in business management or human resources is required, with a Master’s in Human Resources or an MBA preferred.
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA and other wage, hour and labor laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated business and technical writing abilities.
- Strong math skills with budgeting and analysis experience.
- Flexibility to provide HR leadership during extended office hours and oversee staff working nights and weekends.
- Excellent computer skills with MS Office and HCM management experience, preferably UKG, Ultipro, and/or KRONOS.
