With our continued growth and mission focus we are looking to add a Labor Relations Specialist to our team in New York City.
PositionSummary
If collective bargaining agreements, grievance resolution, and labor strategy are your wheelhouse—and you know how to navigate union environments with confidence—we want to talk. In this position, you’ll help shape labor strategy, ensure compliance with labor agreements and employment laws, and support a large, unionized workforce within an essential services industry. If you enjoy being hands-on, balancing firm decision-making with collaboration, and solving labor challenges before they escalated—this role was built for you.
- Serve as a key point of contact for union representatives, fostering productive and professional relationships
- Manage and resolve grievances, arbitrations, and labor disputes
- Interpret and enforce CBA language, labor laws, and employment regulations with employees, leadership and internal stakeholders
- Advise leadership on labor strategy, risk mitigation, and compliance
- Partner closely with HR and Operations to ensure labor practices align with business needs
- 5–7 years of direct labor relations experience (union + CBA focus required)
- Proven experience administering collective bargaining agreements
- Strong working knowledge of multi-state labor laws and union environments
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; labor-related certifications a plus
$75,000- $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and location.
