the Role

As an HR Operations Associate, you will support US HR programs and processes, respond to employee and manager inquiries, and collaborate across HR to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.

You will work closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Shared Services, and Centers of Excellence to promote consistent and efficient HR operations across Swiss Re.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational HR support to employees and managers across the US
  • Respond to HR inquiries via ticketing systems, email, and phone; elevate as needed
  • Manage administrative activities for assigned HR programs and processes
  • Document requests and resolutions in accordance with established procedures
  • Support onboarding and employee lifecycle processes in partnership with relevant HR teams
  • Maintain HR documentation and assist in keeping process materials current
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely resolution of requests
  • Contribute to process and service quality improvements
  • Maintain working knowledge of assigned HR programs and policies
About You

You are organized, detail-oriented, and service-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability for quality and accuracy. You communicate clearly, collaborate effectively and demonstrate sound judgment in resolving routine matters while appropriately escalating when needed. You thrive in a dynamic environment and adjust priorities as needs evolve.

Key Requirements
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in HR Ops or shared services in a corporate setting
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; builds effective working relationships with peers and stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Customer-focused mindset and proactive problem-solving approach
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a virtual team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree preferred; HR-related coursework is a plus

The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $90,000 for Kansas City and $64,000 – $96,000 for Armonk. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity, specialization, and/or scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.

At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality in setting individual compensation.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.
