Top Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HR Associate in Brooklyn, NY. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on HR experience with a strong focus on compliance, benefits administration, and employee support.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and oversee the full onboarding process, including offer documentation, background checks, I-9 compliance, and required regulatory documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including leave administration (FMLA, disability, and related policies)
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, life event changes, and terminations
- Maintain and audit employee personnel files and HRIS records to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Monitor and track PTO, sick leave, and statutory leave in accordance with company policy and legal requirements
- Assist with preparation for internal and external audits related to payroll, benefits, and employment compliance
- Interpret and apply HR policies consistently and provide guidance to employees and supervisors
- Support employee relations matters by responding to HR inquiries and escalating complex issues as appropriate
- Generate HR reports and assist in policy updates and procedural improvements
- Partner with the HR Manager on strategic initiatives and special projects
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience, with exposure to compliance and benefits administration
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements
Experience with HRIS systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Demonstrated discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
