Recruitment Team Lead - Financial Services

Job Title: Assistant Vice President / VP - Full Desk Financial Services & Insurance Recruitment

Location: New York (Hybrid Options Available)

We’re seeking an experienced AVP / Managing Consultant to join Oliver James as a full‑desk recruiter with a clear path into leadership. This is not a delivery‑only role, you will be responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle and driving revenue growth through new business development, strategic client engagement, and market influence.

As part of our talented team, you’ll work across dynamic market verticals (including Financial Services, Insurance and adjacent practice areas), building strong relationships with clients and candidates while mentoring and developing others.

• Lead end-to-end search and delivery for permanent and executive search mandates
• Source, interview, assess and close top talent for clients
• Maintain a strong pipeline of active and passive candidates

• Develop and own new business opportunities, identify, pitch, win and grow client relationships
• Drive strategic discussions with hiring managers and stakeholders
• Expand existing accounts and cross-sell recruiting services

• Coach, mentor and influence more junior recruiters
• Contribute to team strategy and long-term planning
• Embod[e] a leadership-mindset with a view toward future management roles

• Proven full‑desk recruiter with strong delivery track record
• Demonstrated success generating new business and building long-term client partnerships
• Entrepreneurial, driven and commercially focused
• Excellent communicator who takes ownership of results
• Looking to grow into a leadership/management track
