Location: New York

Coda Search is partnering with a top AM100 law firm in NYC. The team is seeking to hire an experienced HR Systems Manager with deep Workday expertise to own, optimize, and continuously enhance the firm’s HRIS environment. This role will partner closely with HR leadership, IT, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure the system supports a complex, professional services workforce.

The ideal candidate has experience in law firms or professional services organizations, understands partnership structures, and thrives in a highly detail-oriented, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead ongoing system optimization, configuration, and enhancements to improve user experience, data integrity, and process efficiency.
  • Evaluate current workflows and recommend improvements aligned with firm growth, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Design and maintain complex Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics for HR leadership and firm management.
  • Act as a strategic partner to HR leadership, Talent, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll teams.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of HR data across the firm.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and controls.
  • Lead HRIS-related projects including module implementations, integrations, and firmwide initiatives.
  • Develop training materials and provide guidance to HR and business users.
  • Promote adoption of system enhancements and self-service functionality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; HRIS, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 6+ years of HRIS experience, with strong hands-on Workday configuration experience.
  • Prior experience supporting a law firm or professional services organization strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of Workday business process frameworks, security, reporting, and integrations.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
