About this role

Success Academy is growing fast, and our People systems need to be as robust and scalable as our schools. We’re seeking a Leader, HR Transformation who will be involved both in defining the strategic vision to streamline our systems and processes, as well as executing that vision and leveraging AI and automation to bring it to life. You will be responsible for reimagining how we work – taking messy, manual processes and turning them into lean, automated, "low‑touch" systems.

What

you will do
  • Rebuild and streamline key processes: map end‑to‑end workflows such as onboarding, offboarding, and school‑based transfers and identify friction points where HRBPs or People Operations staff are bogged down by manual processes. Remove superfluous steps and rebuild processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Architect scalability and expansion: design foundational playbooks and operational frameworks for People processes that prioritize lean operations; ensure systems supporting our 57 schools are re‑engineered to remain robust at a scale of 100+ schools and growth into new states, while integrating policy, compliance, and local logistics into a repeatable model for national expansion.
  • Deliver high‑impact problem solving: serve as the first line of defense for the Head of People by independently tackling complex operational challenges and transforming them into streamlined, documented, and sustainable processes.
  • Execute high‑stakes initiatives: take direct ownership of critical projects such as overhauling the exit process, piloting, testing new workflows, and managing the full rollout to impact stakeholders.
  • Optimize HRIS & tooling: serve as a power user of the People tech stack (Workday, Service Now, Greenhouse, etc.), identify underutilized features, and design automated solutions to eliminate manual data entry and repetitive administrative tasks.
  • Enhance data utility: partner with People Technology and Enterprise Data & Analytics teams to ensure People data is both accurate and actionable; build functional dashboards that People leaders rely on to manage their teams and drive performance.
  • Bridge functional silos: coordinate across Benefits, TA, HRBPs, and People Ops, as well as cross‑functionally with Technology, Finance, Advisory, and Schooling, to act as the primary point of alignment so that policy changes in one area do not disrupt workflows in another.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in business, strategy, organizational development, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of experience in HR or business operations, preferably in a high‑growth and lean team environment.
  • Strong technical fluency in HR technology logic and a track record of implementing automated workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and solve challenging organizational problems and to directly execute and build, rather than just project‑manage, complex, cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proven analytical abilities, with experience using data to identify bottlenecks and measure the success of process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly for executive and senior audiences.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment; comfortable supporting a leader while managing complexity and ambiguity.
Compensation

$190,000 – $200,000 USD, exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
