Your role and responsibilities

You will provide subject matter expertise in payroll processes and Workday Payroll setup (within the supported country or localization). You’ll collaborate with HR, finance, IT and external vendors to implement, configure and support payroll functionality, ensure compliance and optimize payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with payroll business owners and HR/finance to capture payroll requirements, regulatory compliance, tax rules, and localizations.
  • Configure Workday Payroll modules: pay policies, earnings/deductions, off‑cycle/retro pay, tax authorities, time/attendance integration.
  • Integrate Workday Payroll with time/attendance systems, benefits, HR modules, finance and others.
  • Lead testing (parallel, mock, integration), validate payroll results, perform reconciliation, support go‑live cut‑over.
  • Provide end‑user support for payroll administrators post‑go‑live, troubleshoot issues, perform payroll audits and process improvements.
  • Keep up to date with payroll release updates (announced by Workday) and regulatory/tax changes impacting payroll modules.
  • Develop training, documentation, user‑guides for payroll administration.

This job can be performed from anywhere in the US.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s in Payroll, HRIS, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • Proven experience implementing or administering payroll systems (3‑5 years minimum), ideally 3+ end‑to‑end Workday Payroll implementation.
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes: tax, compliance, deductions, retroactive calculation, off‑cycle, integrations.
  • Experience working with Workday Payroll configuration and modules.
