The Role
As the Director of People Systems, you will lead Alpha Sense’s global People technology strategy and serve as the functional owner of Workday to support our hyper‑growth. Your mission is to ensure our systems—from our core HRIS to our performance and compensation tools—are scalable, integrated, and provide a frictionless experience for our 2,500+ global employees.
What You’ll Do- Develop and execute the People technology roadmap and strategy
- Act as the global functional owner for Workday, develop and execute a strategy to optimize it, and ensure seamless integrations with downstream systems
- Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and adoption of new tools to support Alpha Sense’s growth and maturation
- Partner across the People team to design and execute people processes (e.g., performance management, compensation, benefits, absence/leaves, employee engagement)
- Ensure our systems establish a single source of truth by prioritizing data integrity and consistency
- Partner with the People Operations team to audit workflows and increase efficiency, automation, predictability, consistency, and audit‑readiness of our processes
- Partner with our Payroll team on the implementation and consolidation of global payroll systems
- Lead the HR systems integration during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless merging of disparate HR systems, databases, and processes
- Develop systems and tools to provide robust reporting and data insights
- Lead, grow, and develop a team as the organization continues through a period of hyper‑growth
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to data security, privacy, document retention, and compliance across the organization
- 10+ years of experience in HR systems, People Technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- You are an accomplished People/HR systems and reporting professional with a proven track record working with Workday, Greenhouse, and Payroll systems
- You have experience defining and improving systems and scalable processes for a global workforce of 3,000+ employees
- You are a leader of leaders with the ability to inspire, grow, develop, and coach a team
- You thrive in fast‑paced, rapidly growing organizations
- You are a strong communicator with the ability to drive organizational change through partnership with operational and business leadership
- You are detail‑oriented and have experience managing large, global, enterprise‑wide system implementations
- You are a pragmatic and thoughtful business partner who understands the importance of teamwork and collaboration
- You are a skilled storyteller with the ability to turn quantitative data into a qualitative tale
- You are a DEI champion and know how to use data to drive strategy
- You have an exceptional ability to lead cross‑functional projects and influence stakeholders across IT, Finance, and Legal teams
