Location: New York
The Global Corporate Business Partner team is currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide critical coverage during an 8-month maternity leave period. This role partners closely with senior business unit leadership to deliver strategic and hands‑on HR support across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate is a proactive advisor with strong judgment, exceptional relationship skills, and the ability to navigate a fast‑paced, highly matrixed environment.
The Corporate Division is comprised of approximately 1,900 employees globally and encompasses the following business areas:
Information Technology, Risk Management, Controllers, Operations, Marketing, Human Resources, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, Tax, and Corporate Services.
- Strategic HR Partnership & Talent Management
- Serve as the primary HRBP to select senior business unit leaders, advising on talent needs and people strategy.
- Lead and support cyclical talent processes including performance management, year-end reviews, promotions, and compensation.
- Act as a thought partner to leadership on culture, team effectiveness, leadership development, and change management.
- Employee Relations & Manager Advisory
- Provide timely and thoughtful guidance on complex employee relations matters, escalating to Employment Legal as appropriate.
- Coach managers on performance management, feedback delivery, engagement strategies, and navigating sensitive situations.
- Conduct or oversee investigations, documentation, and resolution of ER issues in conjunction with Employment Legal team.
- Compensation & Data Analysis
- Partner with Finance/Compensation on benchmarking, leveling, and year‑end processes.
- Ensure data accuracy and provide insights to stakeholders on headcount, attrition, hiring, compensation, and org trends.
- Recruitment & Onboarding Partnership
- Work closely with Recruitment on senior-level hiring, approvals, interview process effectiveness, and offer structuring.
- Support business / HR onboarding team with integration of new hires into the business.
- Community & Engagement / Training & Development
- Partner with Community and Engagement team to maintain a strong pulse on employee engagement, assessing annual engagement survey results and proactively identifying opportunities to improve employee experience.
- Partner with Training & Development teams to identify training needs and implement learning programs.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an HR Business Partner supporting senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong experience across employee relations, performance management, compensation, talent management, and organizational development.
- Proven ability to manipulate data and draw business insights and trends.
- Ability to build trust quickly and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship‑building skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism, with strong judgment and integrity.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, PowerPoint and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, etc.).
