Overview
SUMMARY: The person in this position administratively assists the Field HR managers and the Corporate Benefits Team.
Responsibilities- Perform data entry and verification in the HRIS system, updating items such as address changes, data input for new hires, terminations, training, benefit changes, deductions, etc.
- Assemble reports, compile data, and summarize records/reports manually or using basic computer programs; be responsible for maintenance of the HRIS and payroll systems
- Provide clerical support related to employee benefit communications
- Assist employees with benefit questions, completing forms, and other similar situations as they arise
- Respond within twenty-four hours to routine questions from the field
- Assist if needed in processing requests to assist in the administration of required regulatory policies such as FMLA, FELA, COBRA, and company-administered policies such as relocation
- Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
- Familiarity with regulations pertaining to regulatory policies such as FMLA, FELA, and COBRA
- One to two years of experience in the field of human resources
- Proficiency in HRIS system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
