The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research ("the Foundation") is seeking top talent for its Senior Enablement Specialist position. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Employee Experience, this role supports the Foundation’s mission by strengthening how work gets done across the People & Culture unit. Sitting within the Employee Experience (EX) department, this role focuses on continuous process improvement, executional support for knowledge management practices and maintaining cross‑initiative visibility to help ensure work is sustainable and well‑coordinated.
This position partners with People & Culture team and departments across the organization to document and improve workflows, support adoption of consistent ways of working, and help ensure staff have access to accurate, well‑organized knowledge resources. This role maintains a high‑level view of all People & Culture initiatives to help surface capacity risks, overlapping demands, and cumulative impacts.
This is a hybrid‑flex position that will require in‑person attendance at The Michael J. Fox Foundation’s headquarters in New York City.
Key Responsibilities Process Improvement & Enablement (40%)- Partner within P&C team to understand existing workflows, identify pain points and support & implement the design of improved processes
- Facilitate process mapping and documentation to increase clarity, consistency and efficiency
- Develop plans to drive adoption of new or updated processes through communication, training and hands‑on enablement
- Gather feedback and observations to support ongoing, iterative process improvements
- In partnership with and under the guidance of the Knowledge Management Lead, this role drives the coordination of knowledge management practices and how content is captured to enable employees in their jobs
- Develop processes to capture, organize and maintain institutional knowledge in alignment with established knowledge management frameworks and standards
- Maintain and operationalize the intake process for new knowledge content, ensuring submissions include required context, ownership and review timelines
- Serve as a point of coordination for new content submissions, working with subject matter experts and content owners to support refinement and publishing
- Apply established standards for foundation‑level content structure, tagging, version control and accessibility to ensure information is easy to find and use
- Develop frameworks for tracking content ownership and review cycles to support long‑term sustainability
- Provide hands‑on support to teams using knowledge management tools and processes, escalating systemic issues or improvement opportunities to the Knowledge Management Lead as appropriate
- Maintain a high‑level view of People & Culture initiatives, projects and ongoing work to support coordination, visibility and sustainability across the team
- Monitor how People & Culture work intersects with staff capacity both within the P&C team and across partner teams, identifying potential overload, sequencing challenges or competing demands
- Identify cross‑initiative patterns, dependencies and cumulative impacts related to process changes, documentation needs and knowledge updates
- Surface observations, risks and capacity‑related insights to EX leadership to support informed decision‑making and prioritization
- Relevant experience in people, process and technology enablement preferred
- Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows and translate them into clear, usable documentation
- Experience supporting knowledge management systems, intranets or shared documentation tools
- Team‑player with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders in a mission‑driven organization
- Experience driving organizational change or enablement initiatives
- Familiarity with AI is a plus
