PositionObjective:
The Talent Acquisition Coordinator is a member of the People organization responsible for supporting end-to-end hiring operations, including, but not limited to, a wide range of administrative tasks that blend recruiting coordination, scheduling, sourcing, and low-level recruiting, background clearance tracking, and onboarding success, while delivering a consistent , high-quality candidate experience.
Responsibilities:- Initiate background checks and review background reports to validate candidate employment and credentials, as well as review candidate criminal history. Follow up with candidates on outstanding documents and information.
- Coordinate interview availability with hiring managers and panels and schedule virtual and in-person interviews.
- Draft and post open positions to the applicant tracking system and relevant job boards.
- Prepare reports and track all activities associated with the background check process.
- Support the Talent Acquisition leadership team with various projects and initiatives.
- Prepare presentations for team, department, and client meetings.
- Complete assigned tasks within the established Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Enter information and update systems and applications (i.e., Jobvite, People Soft, Tru View , and Kronos) in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Attend and participate in 2 career events or networking events per quarter (1 of the events must be an MTA-sponsored event).
- Act as an onboarding liaison and provide support and assistance in handling discrepancies related to new hire documentation and serve as a bridge between Talent Acquisition and the onboarding teams, HR Operations, IT, Facilities, and hiring managers to ensure new-hire readiness during their first 30-days.
- Engage in low-level recruiting and conduct intake meetings with hiring managers and source candidates to fill vacant positions.
- Ensure precise data entry and diligently follow up on onboarding documents as required.
- Responsible for managing the onboarding process for new hires, including the review and processing of essential documentation such as I-9 forms and verification of previous employment. (NYCT ONLY) .

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Must possess the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and be a team player
- Must possess proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
