Location: Dobbs Ferry

Our non-profit client, based in Tarrytown, NY, is looking for an Employee Relations Lead to join their HR group. This Employee Relations Lead plays a key role in fostering a consistent and high-performing workplace culture. Reporting to the VP of HR, this position oversees employee relations, grievance proceedings, and management training in workplace compliance, performance management, and labor relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage employee relations cases, including performance management, attendance, grievances, and workplace concerns.
  • Provide advice and coaching to managers to resolve workplace issues and strengthen leadership capability.
  • Conduct investigations into employee conduct and workplace incidents and prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure grievance and disciplinary processes align with organizational policy and legal requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training for managers on employee relations and compliance topics.
  • Use data and trends to proactively address workplace issues and support a positive organizational culture.
  • Partner with HR and organizational leaders to support engagement, retention, and performance outcomes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive HR matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required; advanced degree or SHRM-SCP/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of HR experience, including at least two (2) years in employee or labor relations.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and labor relations practices.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build trust and influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respect for diverse teams and communities.
  • Ability to travel locally as needed.
