** Payroll Analyst**
** Location:
** Jamaica, Queens, NY
** Salary Range:** $90,000 – $110,000
** Job Summary**
A healthcare organization based in Jamaica, Queens is seeking a skilled Payroll Analyst to manage, process, and analyze payroll data. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced with high-volume payroll processing.
** Key Responsibilities**
- Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping data
- Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and leave adjustments
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule using ADP
- Manage payroll taxes, deductions, and with holdings in compliance with applicable laws
- Initiate payroll payments via direct deposit or check
- Maintain and update payroll records, including rate changes and employee status updates
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Prepare payroll reports and analyses for management
- Stay current on changes in payroll tax and labor regulations
- Collaborate closely with Human Resources and Accounting teams
** Qualifications**
- 3–5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a healthcare or regulated environment
- Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or similar payroll-focused role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, and tax regulations
- Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems (required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
** Education Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field
