About Alpaca Health

Alpaca Health enables clinicians to become entrepreneurs, starting in autism care.

We help clinicians launch and scale their own clinics by providing AI‑powered software, payer contracting, and full back‑office infrastructure. Our goal is simple: shift power in healthcare away from large consolidated entities and back to clinicians.

We’ve raised more than $14M in funding from early‑stage investors like Core Innovation Capital, Adverb Ventures, and South Park Commons, and are building for long‑term category leadership. More importantly, we’re serving hundreds of patients, while growing 30% MoM.

This role is full‑time. We’re looking for candidates based in NYC or open to relocating who are open to five days a week in the office.

Role:
Founding Recruiter

As Founding Recruiter, you’ll be responsible for helping build the team that builds Alpaca. You’ll recruit across every function in the company: software engineering, product, operations, provider growth, marketing, customer success, and clinical leadership. You’ll own the entire hiring process while developing creative, scalable ways to identify and attract exceptional talent.

This is not a recruiting coordinator role. This is not a role where you’ll inherit a mature recruiting function.

You’ll help design how hiring works at Alpaca from the ground up. The people you bring into the company will directly shape our culture, velocity, and ability to achieve our mission.

What You’ll Do Own recruiting across the company

Lead full‑cycle recruiting for roles across engineering, product, GTM, operations, and clinical teams.

You’ll work directly with founders and hiring managers to define roles, build candidate pipelines, run interview processes, and close exceptional candidates.

Build creative sourcing engines

We don’t believe the best candidates are always actively applying.

You’ll develop creative ways to find and engage talent, including community‑building, referral systems, outbound sourcing campaigns, events, content, partnerships, and AI‑powered recruiting workflows.

Build the foundation for a recruiting team
