Description

The Executive Director, Talent leads the execution of Talent Management, Leadership and Learning & Development across a geographic zone, ensuring consistent and high-quality deployment of global talent programs in line with enterprise standards and governance.

This role partners with Global Talent COEs and GPOs, People Partners, HR Core Services and external service providers to deliver scalable talent solutions within the global governance framework.

The role represents regional and affiliate requirements through structured input, and addresses local compliance, language, and time-sensitive needs within global governance frameworks.

Talent, Leadership, and Learning Programs Execution & COE Alignment
  • Execute global talent strategies, frameworks, and programs with consistency and discipline
  • Deliver core talent processes (performance, succession, talent reviews, learning, coaching, and employee listening)
  • Ensure effective application of global talent initiatives to meet business priorities
  • Enable internal mobility and promotion through consistent execution of global talent processes
  • Provide structured input to Global COEs and GPOs on program effectiveness, capability gaps, and emerging needs
  • Co-design, in partnership with Global Talent COE, geo-specific learning solutions and limited process adaptations for regional requirements, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, frameworks, and routing all deviations/exceptions through established governance for approval and scalability
Business Partnership, Workforce Enablement & Capability Delivery
  • Partner with People Partners and Global COEs to support organizational changes and talent priorities
  • Support workforce plans defined by People Partners and Global COEs by enabling required capabilities (skills, development, and mobility) through talent and learning solutions
  • Translate capability requirements into talent, leadership and learning actions through global programs, addressing market-specific needs within global governance frameworks and tools
  • Enable managers to drive career development, performance, internal mobility, and promotion conversations
Regional Needs Analysis, Data and Insights
  • Monitor talent metrics and trends. Consolidate inputs from business priorities, workforce plans, talent reviews, succession planning, and Individual Development Plans and share with Global COEs and People Partners
  • Analyze talent data and trends to identify and communicate capability gaps, program effectiveness, and emerging needs
  • Surface regional business, market, regulatory, and capability insights through established global governance channels
  • Provide structured input to Global COEs and GPOs to support ongoing program evaluation and improvement
  • Provide insights to inform talent decisions
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement

Localization & Compliance

  • Ensure regulatory compliance and required local adaptations
  • Minimize deviation from global standards and align exceptions through governance

Team Leadership & Organization

  • Lead and develop a multi-layered talent team
  • Manage resource allocation and program delivery priorities
  • Build PXT capability across talent, leadership, and learning teams
  • Identify regional capability and program requirements, align with Global COEs/GPOs on whether needs can be supported through global solutions, and where not supported but agreed as a priority, mobilize the team and partners through governance to close the gap
  • Attend and contribute at Global COEs and PXT governance meetings
Qualifications
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in HR, Talent Management, Leadership, and/or Learning & Development
  • Experience leading talent or learning teams in complex, matrixed organizations
  • Proven track record of executing enterprise talent, leadership, and learning programs and frameworks
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder influencing skills, with executive presence
  • Experience leading through transformation, change and driving adoption of new ways of working
  • Strong understanding of talent management and learning practices
  • Operational excellence mindset with strong business acumen and analytical capability
  • Experience leveraging talent and learning systems and tools
  • Global or multi-country experience preferred
