OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and proactive Human Resources Specialist to support the AVP of HR Operations and senior HR Business Partner in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
This role is more administrative and project-driven than traditional HR Specialist positions, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on exposure to high‑impact HR initiatives and senior leadership.
This position is ideal for someone eager to grow in HR, thrives in a dynamic environment, and takes initiative without needing constant direction.
Responsibilities- Provide administrative and operational support to HR Business Partners
- Manage HR data, reports, organizational charts, and documentation
- Support HR projects, compliance activities, and regulatory tracking
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and follow up on deliverables
- Assist with recruitment and workforce-related initiatives as needed
- Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Proactively identify needs and take ownership of tasks and projects
- Communicate effectively with leaders across the organization
- Bachelor’s degree required
- HR experience preferred; transferable skills will be considered
- Experience in recruitment, coordination, or administrative support is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fully on‑site role based in the Bronx
- May require occasional travel between locations
- A true self-starter ("go‑getter") who takes initiative without being asked
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
- Confident communicating with senior stakeholders
- Willing to step outside their comfort zone and take on new challenges
- Demonstrates professionalism when handling confidential information
