Location: New York

The Talent Acquisition Partner supports full-cycle recruitment, ensuring compliance with NYC Health + Hospitals policies and applicable laws, while maintaining confidentiality and delivering a positive candidate experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Updates or creates new positions and backfills in Human Capital Management (HCM) system.
  • Posts, maintains and updates job openings in the HCM system and external job boards, including compensation, qualifications and position details, in accordance with guidelines as established by Central Office Human Resources.
  • Partners with hiring managers to conduct recruitment intake meetings, clarify hiring needs, timelines and expectations.
  • Assists with high-volume recruitment efforts, including resume review, candidate pre-screening and scheduling interviews.
  • Identifies and screens qualified candidates from the NYC Health + Hospitals careers page, external job boards, social media platforms, professional networks, community outreach, college partnerships and recruitment internal/external recruitment events.
  • Ensures resumes of qualified applicants are sent to hiring managers for consideration to fill their vacancies.
  • Provides regular status updates on requisitions, candidate progress and follows up with hiring managers to obtain timely interview feedback.
  • Supports consistent and equitable interview practices and may provide guidance to hiring managers regarding the interview process.
  • Delivers a positive and professional candidate experience by maintaining timely communication, coordinating interviews and welcoming candidates for in-person or virtual interviews.
  • Maintains accurate recruitment pipeline and candidate status using internal tracking tools; provides status reports of recruitment metrics and candidate feedback to supervisor.
  • Develops and maintains working knowledge of benefits across titles and levels to attract qualified applicants to apply to NYC Health + Hospitals job postings and encourage candidates to accept job offers.
  • Completes all required HCM system, recruitment training upon hire and/or assignment to the role of Talent Acquisition Partner, as well as annually.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Communications, Organizational Development or a related discipline; or
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in a discipline listed in 1 above or a related discipline; and two (2) years of Human Resources experience within a health care or similar large system, handling staffing and recruitment function.
Certifications Preferred
  • Professional certification or credential in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR).
Preferred Knowledge Areas, Skills, Abilities, And Other Qualifications
  • Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Ability to effectively use sourcing tools and platforms, including Linked In, Indeed job boards, social media platforms and other recruitment technologies.
  • Experience developing recruitment marketing materials, including flyers and social media content.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to manage large amounts of data and present summaries and reports.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, regulatory standards and applicable federal and New York State employment laws.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hiring managers regarding candidate pipelines, interview scheduling and recruitment status.
  • Ability to present and explain employee benefits effectively to candidates during the recruitment process.
  • Experience using the following computer programs and/or software:
    • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
    • Human Capital Management (HCM) or other Human Resources Systems
    • Microsoft Office Products
    • Google Suite
