Position OverviewThe Senior Business Partner will be based in the New York City office on a hybrid schedule of three days per week. The role serves as a strategic advisor and partner to business services departments, aligning HR best practices and processes with firm goals.
ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Business Partner will:
• Bridge the gap between the People Teams and business services departments, ensuring HR initiatives are integrated into the firm’s overall strategy.
• Collaborate closely with People Team’s centers of excellence, including People Development, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations, to support the firm’s talent strategy.
• Work with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies that align with departmental and firm goals.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies.
• Engage proactively with senior management to identify opportunities for HR to drive business outcomes.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks.
• Partner with Employee Relations, Labor & Employment practice, and General Counsel to address complex employee matters and provide guidance on investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to attract, hire, and onboard top talent.
• Develop and implement integration and retention strategies to retain high‑performing employees.
• Oversee the performance management process to ensure compliance and alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide coaching to managers on performance feedback, career development, goal setting, and managing underperformance.
• Identify learning and development needs and partner with People Development to design impactful programs.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Lead and support organizational change initiatives, including cultural transformation and employee engagement.
• Advise on organizational design and restructuring to optimize efficiency.
• Use HR metrics, analytics, and reporting to inform decision‑making and improve processes.
• Provide data‑driven insights to leadership on workforce trends, turnover, and engagement.
• Manage resources, timelines, and communication to ensure project delivery.
• Stay informed of industry trends and emerging HR technologies, recommending innovative approaches.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum of six years of related human resources experience.
- Advanced knowledge of HR software systems and ability to learn new technologies.
- Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives and anticipate workforce needs.
- Insight into business operations and industry challenges.
- Comprehensive understanding of HR practices, techniques, and business trends.
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations for compliance and risk mitigation.
- Expertise in leading organizational change and cultural transformation.
- Proficiency in HR analytics and reporting.
- Strong consultation and interpersonal skills to build trust and credibility with stakeholders.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Skill in facilitating difficult conversations and resolving conflicts.
- Judgment and discretion in handling sensitive matters with confidentiality.
- Flexibility to travel, adjust hours, and work as necessary to meet business needs.

SalarySalary Details: $140,000 - $155,000. Final salary will be based on qualifications, experience, and job‑related factors.
