Company Overview

The Company:
David creates tools to help people build muscle and lose fat. Our first products are protein bars, and we’re building a platform for high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable.

This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.

Role & Responsibilities

We're looking for a Talent Strategist to help build the team that's building David. You'll own full-cycle hiring across all teams and business units, partnering closely with hiring leaders and the Director of People to identify, attract, and hire exceptional talent.

As a Talent Strategist, you'll do far more than fill open roles - you'll shape hiring strategy, advise leaders on talent decisions, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects our brand. You'll combine market insight, relationship-building, and strong execution to help us hire the people who will define David's next chapter. In this role you may:

  • Own end-to-end hiring across multiple functions, from talent strategy and sourcing through offer negotiation and close.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define ideal candidate profiles, hiring strategies, and interview processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing market insights, talent intelligence, and guidance throughout the hiring process.
  • Identify and engage exceptional talent through proactive sourcing, referrals, networking, and creative outreach strategies.
  • Lead candidate evaluation, ensuring a consistently high bar for capability, values alignment, and long-term potential.
  • Create a candidate experience that is fast, thoughtful, transparent, and distinctly human.
  • Own recruiting operations, including pipeline management, interview coordination, ATS hygiene, and recruiting analytics.
  • Craft compelling job descriptions and recruiting messaging that authentically represent the David brand.
  • Build and manage relationships with external recruiting partners and other strategic talent channels.
  • Continuously improve hiring processes, interview quality, and employer brand as we scale.
  • Support broader People initiatives that strengthen how we attract, hire, and retain exceptional talent.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or a fast-paced, high-growth environment (e.g., startup, consulting, or agency).
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication skills with a warm, professional, and relationship-driven approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple searches and competing priorities with speed, thoughtfulness, and precision.
  • Strong curiosity about people, talent assessment, and what makes individuals and teams successful.
  • Excitement about building exceptional teams in a fast-paced, in-person CPG environment with ambitious growth goals.
Compensation & Benefits
  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week — when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together.
  • Salary: $90K - $130K per year, inclusive of cash bonus based on attainment of company targets.
  • Company equity opportunity on top of cash compensation.
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance.
  • 401(k) with 4% match.
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses.
  • Substantial and required PTO.
