Are you passionate about building high-performing sales cultures and creating scalable learning frameworks that drive commercial success?

We're partnering with an ambitious, high-growth recruitment business to appoint a Head of Learning & Development for its New York office. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast-paced, international organisation at a pivotal stage of growth and take ownership of the entire L&D strategy for a thriving sales population.

Operating across specialist technology and infrastructure markets, the business has established itself as a market leader with successful teams across both New York and London. With a strong graduate hiring model and a culture built around ownership, innovation and continuous improvement, they're looking for an L&D leader who can build, influence and drive lasting behavioural change.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a training delivery role.

You'll be responsible for designing and embedding the blueprint for sales excellence across the New York business. Working closely with senior leadership and the wider People team, you'll create repeatable frameworks, leadership programmes and development pathways that enable consultants and managers to perform at their highest level.

You'll have the autonomy to identify gaps, challenge existing processes and implement new ideas in an environment where initiative and innovation are genuinely encouraged.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the Learning & Development strategy for the New York sales population.
  • Build scalable sales training frameworks, playbooks and best practice processes.
  • Deliver engaging training programmes across all levels, from graduate academies through to leadership development.
  • Coach and develop emerging managers, team leaders and future leaders.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to drive adoption, engagement and behavioural change.
  • Support and enhance onboarding and orientation programmes for new hires.
  • Measure learning effectiveness and continuously refine programmes to improve commercial outcomes.
  • Create a culture of continuous learning across a high-performance sales environment.
What We re Looking For

We re open on profile and seniority, but you ll need to bring credibility, influence and a genuine passion for developing people.

You could be:

  • An experienced recruitment leader who has successfully built teams and wants to transition into a dedicated L&D role.
  • An established L&D professional within recruitment who has built sales enablement frameworks and training programmes.
  • A Learning or Sales Enablement specialist from another high-volume, graduate-focused sales environment.
Essential experience includes:
  • Experience building learning frameworks, sales processes or enablement programmes from the ground up.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and gain buy-in.
  • Experience coaching sales professionals and managers within a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Confidence facilitating training sessions, workshops and academies.
  • The ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate effectively within a scaling business.

Recruitment sector experience is strongly preferred, although candidates from comparable high-volume sales environments will also be considered.

Culture

This business moves quickly. Priorities evolve, ideas are encouraged and people are empowered to take ownership.

If you see a problem, you ll be expected to propose a solution and have the support to implement it.

The team is collaborative, ambitious and highly motivated to improve, making this an outstanding opportunity for someone who wants to leave a genuine legacy and shape the future of learning within a growing organisation.

  • Base salary up to $150,000 depending on experience
  • 15-18% annual bonus
  • Significant opportunity to shape and build a best-in-class L&D function
  • High visibility and partnership with senior leadership
  • Long-term career growth within a scaling international business
