Location: New York

Our client, a leading financial technology firm, is seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support its HR and employee benefits operations team in New York City. This contract opportunity is ideal for an early-career HR professional looking to build experience in benefits administration, leave management, and employee support within a fast-paced corporate environment.

The estimated base pay is $25 to $30 per hour. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans, retirement plans, and leave programs
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions related to benefits eligibility, enrollment, and general plan information
  • Assist with leave of absence administration and documentation in coordination with HR and third-party vendors
  • Process benefit enrollments, life event changes, new hires, and terminations within HRIS and vendor systems
  • Support benefits deductions, billing, and reconciliation activities
  • Assist with employee communications, educational materials, and benefits-related resources
  • Support onboarding and new hire benefits orientation activities
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal HR stakeholders to support day-to-day benefits administration
Job Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in Human Resources, benefits administration, or a related HR support role
  • Basic understanding of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and leave programs
  • Excellent communication and employee support skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience with HRIS or benefits platforms is a plus
  • Experience supporting open enrollment or employee benefits communications is a plus
