Prior experience navigating complex employee issues within a unionized or highly regulated environment is strongly preferred. - Operational Flexibility:
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be willing and able to perform System Emergency Assignments to support service restoration during company emergencies.
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate EEO professional to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining a workplace culture grounded in respect and compliance. You will lead critical investigations, provide expert guidance, and develop impactful training programs, directly shaping an inclusive environment and reinforcing our commitment to our corporate values.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough fact‑finding interviews for employment discrimination complaints, meticulously assessing credibility, analyzing documentary evidence, and performing comparative analyses to reach logical conclusions.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive written reports detailing investigative findings.
- Provide expert counseling and recommend effective solutions for internal and external complaints related to discrimination, harassment, or violations of organizational policies.
- Represent the organization in conferences, mediations, and hearings with governmental agencies or internal arbitration proceedings as required.
- Stay abreast of current and pending EEO and AA laws and regulations.
- Leverage subject matter expertise to provide leadership, expert consultation, and deliver targeted training and awareness presentations on EEO concerns, including discrimination, sexual harassment, EEO compliance, reasonable accommodations, and workplace respect.
- Offer advice and counsel to Human Resources partners and employees at all levels on EEO‑related policies, procedures, and issues.
- Engage effectively with both management and union employees, representatives from government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate discretion, managerial courage, tact, and diplomacy when communicating sensitive messages.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as needed, including responding to organizational emergencies to maintain continuity of operations.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting investigations into employment discrimination complaints and allegations, including EEO fact‑finding interviews, credibility assessment, documentary evidence analysis, and comparative analysis to form logical conclusions.
- In‑depth knowledge of current EEO laws and regulations, coupled with proven experience providing advice and counsel on EEO best practices to employees at all organizational levels.
- Subject‑matter expertise in the EEO investigative complaint handling process, case management, and skilled investigative techniques, including credibility assessment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a diverse EEO caseload and ensure timely resolution, with a strong focus on overall customer experience.
- Exceptional ability to write clear and concise EEO investigative reports and articulate findings effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong hands‑on experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Superior analytical ability with keen attention to detail, employing critical thinking, problem‑solving, and strong decision‑making skills.
- Robust organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills, with a solid teamwork orientation.
- Demonstrated professional demeanor, confidence in dealing with all levels of management and union personnel, and the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License.
- High energy level, flexibility, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and assignments under aggressive timelines.
- Proven consulting and influencing skills that build credibility and trust.
- Ability to lead and manage projects as assigned.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and written communication skills.
- Master’s degree preferred in Labor and Employment Law, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Management, or a related field.
