Executive Search Associate, Consumer Markets

Overview

Heidrick & Struggles is a global executive leadership advisory firm. The Executive Search Associate works closely with Search Partners & Principals and assists in all aspects of the recruitment process, from candidate identification to placement.

• Conducting industry‑specific and client‑company research, mapping the executive talent landscape to bring market insights to the table.
• Supporting Consultants in developing position specifications and a focused search strategy.
• Assisting Consultants in preparing business development and candidate assessment documents to present to prospective and current clients.
• Contacting prospective candidates to elicit interest, obtaining referrals, and collecting market intelligence and feedback.
• Assisting Consultants with in‑depth interviews to assess candidate qualifications against position specifications.
• Managing candidate relationships throughout the entire life cycle, maintaining status reports and client‑ready reports for internal and external presentation.
• Managing multiple concurrent projects and completing high‑quality deliverables on time.
• Partnering well across stakeholders, fostering collaboration, acting as a culture carrier, and demonstrating self‑awareness, humility, empathy, and open‑mindedness.
• Maintaining accuracy, quality, and integrity of all search information; acting with professionalism, confidentiality, and ethics; persisting through challenges.

• 3–4years of professional experience or a minimum of 2years transferable recruiting experience.
• Undergraduate BA/BS degree.
• Strong professional communication skills, with adeptness in writing, articulating, and delivering information with confidence and impact.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with external clients and candidates, and a developing understanding of techniques to influence and build positive relationships.

• Prior experience in full‑life‑cycle recruiting in Executive Search, Contingent Search, or In‑House Talent Acquisition, management consulting, or another industry requiring applied sales and research skills.
• Experience targeting potential candidates, developing pitch materials, and conducting market research.
• Proven success simultaneously managing multiple projects and working across teams.
• Experience identifying market trends and researching information effectively through various channels; ability to analyze, organize, and synthesize large volumes of information into insights.
• Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
• Demonstrated skill in building and maintaining relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Salary range: 80,000–105,000

USD. In addition to base salary, discretionary bonuses (subject to eligibility requirements) and a comprehensive benefits package are provided. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability leave, parental leave, paid time off, and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
