Senior Professional Development Manager

An international law firm with a market-leading global platform is seeking a Professional Development Senior Manager to join its Americas Professional Development team.

This is a high-impact role that will work closely with senior leadership to shape and deliver attorney and business professional development programmes across the Americas. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving talent development initiatives, leadership programmes, associate career progression, mentoring frameworks and business skills training within a sophisticated professional services environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with senior Professional Development and Talent teams to design and implement business skills and leadership programmes across the Americas.
• Supporting associate development initiatives, including mentoring programmes, career progression frameworks and partner-track development.
• Designing and delivering engaging learning experiences for attorneys and business professionals.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external providers to build impactful training solutions.
• Facilitating both virtual and in-person learning programmes.
• Driving innovation in learning delivery through blended learning methodologies and emerging technologies.
• Supporting regional and global talent development initiatives and acting as a key stakeholder across multiple business groups.
• Managing programme evaluation, reporting and ROI analysis to ensure continuous improvement.
• Overseeing external vendors, programme budgets and operational delivery.
• Partnering with HR and business leaders on onboarding, mentoring and broader talent development strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Significant Professional Development, Learning & Development or Talent Development experience within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience designing and delivering business skills, leadership and career development programmes.
• Strong facilitation, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing projects, programmes and ideally people.
• The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive engagement across the business.
• Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how talent development supports broader business objectives.
• Experience working within complex, fast-paced professional services organisations.
