Employer Engagement Specialist (PACE) The Awesome Things You’ll Do
  • Develops and maintains a job bank of active companies for participant placements (particularly in areas of sectoral focus, including Healthcare, Technology, Human Services, and Maintenance/Security).
  • Analyzes job placements to assess industry, employer, and occupational trends and suggests adjustments in employment strategies accordingly.
  • Develops strategies and mechanisms for contacting potential employers to establish linkages for placements.
  • Assists in the development of Business Advisory Councils.
  • Collaborates with the Career Navigator team to meet 5 weekly/20 monthly placement goals; secure job orders.
  • Performs outreach to current and potential employers within the local community and city-wide to identify and target employment opportunities for clients.
  • Establishes referral relationships and solicits job orders suitable for participants.
  • Establishes a network of contacts with potential employers that spans a wide range of sectors and industries for a diverse client base.
  • Networks with other Job Developers and Marketing Reps to identify opportunities and project job openings needed for participants.
  • Presents weekly performance results to the team and works collaboratively with the team to meet individual and team placement & retention goals.
  • Assists in development and maintenance of professional working relations with partners, support organizations, and other service providers.
  • Provides in‑service training in specialized areas of focus to ensure Career Navigators are alerted to skill‑sets requested by employers.
Our Must Haves
  • Two years of post‑high‑school education required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Two years of related experience in job development, sales, marketing, or fundraising; customer service experience required.
  • Knowledge of labor market industries and employer hiring practices; administration of job bank preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary.
  • Must be organized and detail‑oriented.
  • Must be flexible and able to respond to the changing needs of the program.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Highly effective problem‑solving and follow‑up skills.
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and details.
