Description

We are looking for a vibrant Human Resource Specialist to join our team, which specializes in the manufacturing of rotating electrics. Our Human Resource Specialist will play a key role in supporting the HR department by managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Staffing: Coordinate and manage the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to employees.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including maintaining accurate employee records and handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge, supporting career development and growth.
  • HR Administration: Manage HR administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records, processing payroll, and handling benefits administration.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR roles, preferably in a corporate setting, with a people-centric approach
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with HRIS systems.
  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
  • Must be comfortable on a manufacturing floor.
  • Occasional travel may be required for recruitment events or training sessions.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position in Arcade, New York.
