Job Summary

The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and assisting in the day‑to‑day delivery of Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies, including communication, onboarding, talent management, and compliance. The role offers leadership on projects with department or company‑wide impact across recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and onboarding
    • Manage the recruitment process from start to finish using HRIS (UKG: Universal Kronos Group).
    • Work with Business Unit leaders to create job descriptions and post to external sources and job sites.
    • Communicate with new hires: offer letters, background checks, employee set‑ups (e.g., alerts, gifts, laptop shipment).
    • Ensure pre‑boarding and onboarding processes are followed: welcome email, new‑hire orientation, career pathing, first‑day experiences, first‑month essentials, and goal‑setting guide.
  • Employee relations
    • Lead employee pulse surveys in partnership with Quantum Workforce.
    • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives such as 4

      As University, “A Day in the Office,” hybrid work events, employee get‑togethers, and Linked In Learning coursework.
    • Handle moderately complex issues, conduct investigations, provide recommendations, and guide Business Unit leaders.
    • Coach employees and mid‑level leaders in performance management and talent feedback.
    • Build and maintain relationships to guide employees and managers through HR processes.
  • Policies and procedures
    • Interpret and implement HR policies and procedures as needed.
    • Recommend enhancements to established processes.
  • Project management
    • Develop the 4

      As University calendar for the year.
    • Maintain the HR calendar of events.
    • Propose training initiatives and additional projects.
  • Training
    • Maintain 4

      As University and training/upskilling programs.
    • Build and govern consistent training and mentoring programs across the company.
  • Administrative
    • Audit all benefits elections in the HRIS monthly.
    • Work with the Director of HR to ensure employee files are accurate.
    • Prepare documents for semi‑monthly payroll (hiring, changes, increases, terminations).
  • General responsibilities
    • Collaborate with staff to align with organizational goals in staffing, recruiting, and retention.
    • Administer human resource programs such as compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, investigations, performance management, and training.
    • Identify staffing needs, develop best hiring practices, and execute recruiting processes.
    • Oversee mid‑year and year‑end performance reviews and related compensation changes.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and update policies accordingly.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3‑4 years of experience in a fast‑paced support/administrative role.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
