Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for an HRIS Specialist, based in any of our U.S. offices. The primary responsibilities are providing Human Resources Information System (HRIS) initial support for HR systems, including data management functions in People Soft HCM and UKGPro applications. Designs and supports HR systems workflows.
Responsibilities- Provide support for People Soft and UKGPro data validation and maintenance including:
Process Employee Action Notices, Employee Separation Notices and other transaction documents. - Review the inbound documents for accuracy and completeness in consideration of Orrick policies and regulatory compliance.
- Advise people originating the forms to correct data and add missing information and interpret appropriate People Soft coding.
- Oversee the HRIS mailbox and first-line support - prioritizing and escalating requests for HRIS timely responsiveness and completion.
- Provide HRIS administration for Service Now requests including name and address changes.
- Monitor feeds to/from People Soft for accuracy, correcting transactions as necessary.
- Maintain employee data in the People Soft HRIS database.
- Coordinate status changes with the payroll and benefits departments, IT and other stakeholders.
- Run and support People Soft and UKGPro imports, trouble‑shooting import errors.
- Maintain organizational and position‑related data in the People Soft set‑up tables.
- Produce queries and reports for validating the accuracy of data and support the daily audit.
- Support talent management systems assessments and implementations, collecting and documenting requirements details, participating in user acceptance testing, and configuring set‑up tables.
- Update and improve forms and processes for data collection, creating/updating instructions and leveraging technology for operational effectiveness.
- Design, document, and test system workflows in Service Now HR modules and UKGPro and support implementation.
- Work to ensure compliance with Orrick's data standards for our People Soft system.
- Train new People Soft users in both how to use the on‑line system and how to process various transactions.
- Onsite/remote hybrid regular attendance, and punctuality.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- HR oriented Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Two or more years demonstrated experience in a HR department, preferably in a professional services organization.
- Good knowledge of HR business procedures and employee information requirements.
- One or more years supporting an HR or HRIS request queue or help desk.
- Advanced working knowledge required MS Office Suite (i.e., Excel and Word).
- Working knowledge including configuration of People Soft or similar HRIS systems required.
- Query / reporting skills preferred.
- Capable of both good teamwork and independent problem solving.
- Must be self‑sufficient when needed.
- Able to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion.
- Excellent customer focus, along with strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must have strong attention to detail and be highly accurate.
- Ability to multi‑task and organize information required.
The expected salary range for this position is:
- New York City, Silicon Valley, and San Francisco $59,000 - $76,000
- Washington DC, Los Angeles, Orange County, Santa Monica, Sacramento, Boston, and Seattle $55,000 - $72,000
- All Other US Locations $52,000 - $66,000

This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job‑related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography.
Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
