OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a fast-paced environment. This role plays a key part in supporting the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, recordkeeping, and employee support, while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy across all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the HR department and serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including application intake, job postings, and candidate communication
- Support new hire onboarding, including orientation coordination and documentation
- Maintain and audit employee personnel files and HR records
- Assist with benefits administration, including FMLA and workers’ compensation processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, including union (CBA) guidelines where applicable
- Support timekeeping, HRIS data entry, and reporting activities
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs
- Coordinate scheduling, training sessions, and meetings
- Support offboarding processes, including exit documentation and tracking
- 1+ years of HR or administrative experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
$23.00 to $25.00 per hour
