Senior Analyst, Compensation & People Operations
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Analyst, Compensation & People Operations to join our People team in New York City. This role will serve as a key contributor across compensation, benefits, payroll, people analytics, and broader human capital management initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative skills with a passion for employee experience, operational excellence, and leveraging technology—including AI—to improve People processes and decision-making.
This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Human Resources, Finance, and business leaders to support a data-driven, high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities Compensation- Support the design, administration, and analysis of compensation programs, including base salary, bonus, and incentive plans.
- Conduct market benchmarking and compensation analysis to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity.
- Assist with annual compensation planning, salary reviews, promotions, and job evaluations.
- Prepare compensation models, reporting, and recommendations for leadership.
- Maintain and optimize core HR processes, policies, and employee lifecycle activities.
- Support organizational planning, workforce management, and employee data governance.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve operational efficiency and employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Serve as a key partner in benefits administration, employee enrollments, and vendor management.
- Support payroll processing, audits, reconciliations, and reporting activities.
- Assist with compliance requirements related to payroll, benefits, and employee records.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding compensation, payroll, and benefits programs.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics related to workforce trends, compensation, retention, recruiting, and organizational effectiveness.
- Analyze employee data to identify insights and support business decision‑making.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to deliver meaningful workforce reporting and recommendations.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across HR systems.
- Support the implementation and adoption of AI‑enabled tools and technologies across People Operations.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve reporting capabilities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and deploy innovative solutions that enhance productivity and employee experience.
- Assist in developing best practices for responsible AI usage within Human Resources.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Compensation, People Operations, Human Resources, Human Capital Management, HR Analytics, or a related function.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience working with HRIS, payroll, and/or workforce management systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with compensation benchmarking and salary survey analysis.
- Familiarity with people analytics, workforce planning, and HR reporting tools.
- Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration.
- Exposure to AI tools, automation technologies, or HR technology implementations.
- Knowledge of HR compliance and employment regulations.
- A data-driven problem solver who enjoys turning workforce data into actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills with a process-improvement mindset.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, particularly AI and automation.
- Ability to operate with discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Expected Work Arrangement: New York City-based role with four days per week in-office and one day remote.
