THE ROLE

The HR Business Partner, North America, reporting to the HR Director, North America, supports both the regional population (Retail, Wholesale, and Regional Support Functions) and the Headquarters population across North America.

Acting as a trusted partner to leaders and employees, this role supports the execution of key Human Resources initiatives across employee relations, recruitment, performance management, talent development, HR administration, compliance, and employee engagement. The HRBP serves as a primary point of contact for day-to-day HR matters, ensuring consistent application of policies, processes, and best practices while supporting organizational objectives and employee experience.

Working closely with the HR Director, North America, the HRBP helps implement people strategies, drive operational excellence, support workforce needs, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations across the region. The position is based in New York City and requires occasional travel throughout North America to support business priorities, employee engagement initiatives, recruitment activities, and employee relations matters (10-20% of the time).

HR

Business Partnership
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees and managers across North America.
  • Serve as a trusted HR partner, providing guidance and support on day-to-day employee matters and people-related initiatives.
  • Support leaders in addressing organizational, employee engagement, performance, and workforce challenges.
  • Execute HR programs, initiatives, and processes that support business objectives and employee experience.
  • Partner with the HR Director to execute strategic people initiatives across the region.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities for assigned positions across Headquarters, Retail, Wholesale, and Regional Support Functions, including sourcing, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and facilitate efficient hiring processes.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, offer preparation, and onboarding activities.
  • Support workforce planning and internal mobility initiatives.
  • Ensure a positive candidate and new hire experience throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
Employee Relations & Compliance
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for routine employee relations matters, escalating complex or high-risk situations to the HR Director as appropriate.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Escalate complex employee relations issues to the HR Director as appropriate.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with employee investigations, documentation, corrective actions, and compliance-related projects.
  • Promote a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
HR Operations & Administration
  • Execute HR administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data changes, and documentation management.
  • Maintain employee files and HR systems while ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support audits, reporting requirements, compliance reviews, and SOX-related controls as applicable.
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure timely submission and accuracy of employee information impacting payroll processing.
  • Assist with internal communications, employee programs, and HR operational initiatives.
  • Support office-related employee experience activities for the Headquarters population as needed.
