Volunteer: Community Healing & Program

Overview

St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment and Recovery Centers offers volunteer opportunities across Northern New York State. Volunteers may serve in roles such as receptionists, clerical support, music teachers, and other positions that fit organizational needs and volunteer interests. The organization places volunteers at program sites that align with geographic preferences and individual skills and availability.

• Serve in assigned volunteer role (e.g., reception, clerical support, music instruction, and other positions).
• Coordinate with the Onboarding Team and Training and Development Team to complete required documentation, fingerprinting, and background checks.
• Participate in orientation and begin onsite service hours after onboarding and orientation are completed.

• Interest in supporting healing and recovery efforts; compassion and reliability.
• Willingness to participate in the application process, interviews, and alignment with organizational goals.
• Ability to complete background checks, fingerprinting, and onboarding requirements as applicable.

• Complete the online application.
• Participate in an interview (in person or virtual) with the Hiring Manager and Human Resources.
• Work with the Onboarding Team to complete documentation, fingerprinting, and background checks.
• Attend orientation with the Training and Development Team (typically one full day).
• Begin onsite service hours upon successful onboarding and orientation.
