Human Resources & Payroll Manager
Full-Time (In-Person)
Salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually
Reports To:
Chief Executive Officer
Bronx House seeks an experienced Human Resources & Payroll Manager to lead Human Resources operations and oversee semi-monthly payroll through Paycom. This role manages recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll, pension reporting, labor relations, compliance, and organizational culture.
Essential Responsibilities- Manage all day-to-day Human Resources operations.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, and orientation.
- Process accurate semi-monthly payroll through Paycom.
- Audit employee timecards, PTO, leave balances, and payroll adjustments.
- Administer benefits, FMLA, Paid Family Leave, Workers' Compensation, and unemployment claims.
- Prepare and submit monthly pension contribution reports.
- Maintain HR policies, personnel files, and HRIS records.
- Conduct employee relations investigations and disciplinary support.
- Support union administration and collective bargaining compliance.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Coordinate background checks and employment verifications.
- Develop HR reports for leadership.
- Serve as Paycom administrator.
- Collaborate with Finance on payroll reconciliations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum five years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum three years of payroll processing experience.
- Experience with Paycom preferred.
- Experience with benefits, pension reporting, and union environments preferred.
- SHRM certification is a plus.
