Green Key Resources is seeking an experienced, hands‑on, and business‑minded Director of HR to help lead the company’s human resources function with a strong balance of strategic judgment and operational execution. This role is ideal for an HR leader who can partner with senior leadership, support managers across the business, strengthen HR processes, and provide focused oversight of Talent Acquisition for the company.
Approximately 20% of the role will be dedicated to managing and improving Talent Acquisition strategy, execution, process discipline, and hiring support.
The Director of HR will provide leadership across core HR functions, including employee relations, HR operations, policy administration, compliance, performance management, benefits oversight, onboarding and offboarding, employee lifecycle processes, HR systems support, manager coaching, and Talent Acquisition oversight. The role is expected to be approximately 80% focused on HR leadership and operations, with approximately 20% focused on managing Talent Acquisition priorities, recruiter accountability, hiring process consistency, and partnership with business leaders on staffing needs.
This position is best suited for a proactive HR leader who brings sound judgment, strong follow‑through, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex employee, policy, compliance, and operational issues into clear recommendations and consistent execution. The Director of HR will be expected to support the business while maintaining appropriate employee advocacy, confidentiality, documentation, and risk awareness.
What You’ll Do- Serve as a trusted HR partner to senior leadership and managers, providing practical guidance on employee relations, workforce planning, policy interpretation, performance concerns, compensation questions, and people‑related business decisions.
- Lead and strengthen HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits coordination, leave administration, employee records, HR documentation, employee lifecycle changes, and process consistency across departments and locations.
- Manage employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion, including workplace concerns, investigations, manager coaching, performance improvement issues, documentation, disciplinary actions, and escalations that require careful judgment.
- Own the consistent application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring policies are clearly communicated, appropriately documented, legally compliant, and applied fairly across the organization.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, retention, organizational design, promotions, compensation decisions, employee engagement, and talent development priorities.
- Manage the company’s Talent Acquisition function as approximately 20% of the role, providing oversight of recruiting priorities, hiring process discipline, recruiter productivity, candidate experience, and partnership with business leaders on current and future staffing needs.
- Partner with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team members to clarify role requirements, improve job descriptions, monitor hiring pipelines, address recruiting bottlenecks, and ensure recruiting activity aligns with business priorities.
- Support the performance management process by coaching managers, improving documentation practices, helping address performance concerns early, and ensuring follow‑up actions are clear, timely, and consistent.
- Oversee benefits administration processes in partnership with internal stakeholders, brokers, carriers, and vendors, ensuring employees receive accurate information and recurring benefits activities are completed on schedule.
- Maintain awareness of employment law requirements and HR compliance obligations, including multi‑state considerations, employee documentation, handbook updates, leave practices, wage and hour coordination, and required reporting or audit support.
- Support HR systems, reporting, data integrity, and process improvement by identifying gaps, documenting workflows, improving handoffs, and helping build repeatable HR practices.
