Location: New York
Malca-Amit is seeking a motivated and detail oriented HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department in key administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors degree and some hands-on experience in HR functions such as onboarding, recruitment, compliance and benefits administration. responsibilities- Assist with new hire onboarding, including preparing offer letters, collecting documentation and coordinating orientation schedules.
- Support recruiting efforts by posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Help administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes and responding to employee inquiries.
- Support compliance efforts related to labor laws, company policies and internal audits.
- Coordinate employee communications related to HR programs, events or updates.
- Assist in planning HR initiatives such as training sessions or employee engagement events.
- Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an HR support role preferred.
- Familiarity with core HR functions including onboarding, recruiting, compliance and benefits.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with ADP Payroll systems a plus.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Team oriented with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- One or more years of professional experience.
- Comfortability working independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- MS Office experience (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
