CUCS is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Assistant to provide administrative and project coordination support directly to the Director of Human Resources and the HR Department. This role supports the day-to-day operations of HR, ensuring timely processing of transactions, organization of departmental workflows, and coordination of key HR initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives on juggling multiple priorities, and brings consistency and follow-through to everything they do — making them essential to keeping HR operations running smoothly.
EssentialDuties include, but are not limited to:
Administrative & Operational Support
- Provide direct administrative support to the Director of Human Resources, including calendar management, meeting coordination, preparation of materials, and documentation of meeting minutes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within HR systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
- Support HR transactions in the HRIS, including hires, status changes, and terminations as needed
- Monitor and manage HR communications (e.g., inbox), ensuring timely routing and response
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including coordination and tracking of required documentation
- Maintain and update HR templates, forms, and internal documents
- Support HR projects led by the Director of Human Resources, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and deadlines
- Maintain project tracking tools and follow up with stakeholders to ensure completion of assigned tasks
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and materials related to HR initiatives
- Support implementation of process improvements and departmental workflows
- Assist with audits, compliance tracking, and documentation reviews
- Support leave tracking and ensure documentation is received and appropriately routed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and organizational information
- Assist in preparation for internal and external audits
- Support or conduct fact-finding and workplace investigations at the direction of management and/or legal counsel, including gathering documentation, coordinating interviews, tracking follow-up items, and maintaining appropriate confidentiality
- Serve as a point of contact for general HR inquiries and route matters as appropriate
- Coordinate meetings, trainings, and HR-related events
- Follow up with employees and managers on outstanding items and required documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 1–2 years of administrative, HR support, or project coordination experience required
- Experience in a fast-paced or high-volume environment preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks
